Ovarian Cancer Screening: Recommendations and Future Prospects
Selina Chiu, Helen Staley, Priya Jeevananthan et al.
Ovarian cancer remains a significant cause of mortality among women, largely due to challenges in early detection. Emerging technologies show promise with respect to improving ovarian cancer detection by enhancing sensitivity and specificity compared to traditional methods. S. Chiu et al. give an overview about ovarian cancer screening guidelines and explore recent advances in diagnostic technologies including radiomics, artificial intelligence, point-of-care testing, and novel detection methods.
Dose-Optimized Image Acquisition Parameters for Neonatal Chest Radiography
Kevin Rama, Michael Esser, Jakob Spogis et al.
Chest radiography is the most frequently performed diagnostic radiographic imaging method in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) [1] [2]. Thus, it represents the main source of ionizing radiation in hospitalized neonates. The purpose of this study was to compare the image quality of the DR CsI detector technology to the CR NIP detector technology in unprocessed images using a contrast-detail phantom, and in processed images using a neonatal phantom.
